Preceded in death by parents, Swan and Rose Nystrom; brothers: Gene, Vernon, Raymond “Willy”, Lindy, Ronald, Donald, Rick, Jack, and Robert; sisters: Roberta and Shirley Nystrom, Betty Harbin, and Joanne Money; brother-in-law, Joe Money.
Survived by wife, Rose; sons, Brian and Eric (Shana); grandson, Louis; sister, Violet Bean; sisters-in-law, Minnie and Nancy Nystrom; brother-in-law, Harvey Harbin; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 8th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, 7805 W. Center Rd., followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL on Thursday, November 9th at 10:30am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 4804 Grover Street. Interment, Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to: St. Thomas More Catholic Church, American Heart Association, or mikeroweWORKS Foundation.

Dear Rose & family,
We send our deepest condolences to all of you. Jerry was a good neighbor, friend & mechanic. I know we appreciated all the times Jerry was there for my Dad, over the years.
May all the good times & memories made with Jerry carry you through this difficult time.
Gerry was a great man. He didn’t talk often, but when he did we listened. He was also one of the best mechanics in South Omaha. As teenagers we would use his garage to fix our vehicles. He would help while making fun of our crappy vehicles, but was always there to help when needed. I have a lot of fond memories of his garage and I won’t forget all of the lessons learned there.
