LaRue A. Gilman-Martinez Jan 7, 1957 – Oct 3, 2016 Born January 7, 1957; passed away October 3, 2016 after a long struggle with cancer. LaRue is survived by her parents, John and Jeanne Gilman; her loving partner, Rick E. Froehlich Jr.; her children, Mara and John Martinez; her stepchildren: Nick Rose, Jessie Rose, and Elizabeth Rose; her sister, Stephanie Caracciolo of Alexandria, KY; her brother, Frank D. Gilman, M.D., of San Diego, CA; her daughters-in-law, Jessica Rose and Ashley Rose; her grandchildren: Cameron Martinez, Isabella Rose, Triniti Rose, and Arianna Rose; and a lifetime of family, friends, colleagues, and students. A CELEBRATION OF LaRue’s life will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at First Central Congregational United Church of Christ, 421 S. 36th St., Omaha, NE. A Private Interment of ashes will be held at Lakeside, MI. in Spring 2017. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Sisters Against Ovarian Cancer (http://www.sistersagainstoc.org).
