Gloria A. (Hughes) Meier
September 11, 1927 – December 1, 2021
Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Joseph “Don” Meier; parents, Charles L. and Anna C. Hughes; sister, Geraldine Rogers. She is survived by her daughters: Susan Wilwerding (Terry), Barbara Cunningham (Tim); grandchildren: Steven Wilwerding
(Elizabeth), Julie Gortemaker (Josh), Michael Cunningham, Peter Cunningham (Beth); great-grandchildren: Jacob and Emma Gortemaker, Mckinley and Vivianne Cunningham; sister, Virginia Batko; brother, Charles J. Hughes; many loving relatives; dear friends; and neighbors.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 5th from 1pm to 3pm, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 3pm, all at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church, 3405 S. 118th Street. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Monday, December 6th at 10:30am at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church. Interment: Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Mary Our Queen Catholic Church Schools.
