VISITATION: Wednesday, May 11th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by MEMORIAL SERVICE at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Nebraska Humane Society or Henry Doorly Zoo.

Gloria Mangiameli Northam, age 80 years, born to Salvatore “Sam” and Patricia Jane Mangiameli of Omaha Nebraska on April 14, 1942.  She lived in Northwest Omaha, Nebraska all of her life.  She attended St. Bernard Catholic School for elementary school and graduated from Marian High School in 1960. Gloria was in the second graduating class at Marian High School.

In her 50s she went back to The University of Nebraska-Omaha, and graduated in 1993 with a B.F.A.

A gracious person, Gloria loved nature, flowers, animals, music, and the Rocky Mountains in Estes Park CO which inspired her beautiful artistic talent.

Gloria volunteered at the Henry Doorly Zoo and Nebraska Humane Society, and was a sustainer for the Junior League of Omaha.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Salvatore and Patricia Jane Mangiameli, and her brother, Sammy Mangiameli. 

She is survived by her life partner, Michael S. Wepprich; brother, John (Debbie) Mangiameli of Omaha; sister, Patricia Jane Mangiameli of Charlotte, NC (aka called by Gloria and Patsy); sister, Carol (Don) Yuska of New Bern, NC.  She is loved greatly by many family members, cousins, and friends.

    I was saddened to read about Gloria’s passing. We had known each other for many years. She was truly a talented and nice person I always enjoyed her company.

    SO sad that Gloria is gone but I am grateful sh I no longer suffering.
    Always loved her sweet smile and BIG heart!
