Gloria M. Werner

WERNER, Gloria M. Age 79 Gloria entered into eternal life on May 20, 2014 surrounded by her family that was so dear to her. She fought cancer valiantly for seventeen months before peacefully passing at home. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who thought the most important things in life were spending time with God, her family, (including the grand dogs), and friends. Gloria was co-founder of Werner Enterprises and worked many years in the family business keeping the office running like a well-oiled machine. She oversaw financial transactions as well as regulatory reporting to numerous governmental entities. She was fondly known for her desire for order and accuracy as well as her keen ability to work with all types of people. After her retirement from corporate life, she enjoyed using her maternal skills to nurture grandkids from baby stage to college transitions. She was sought out by both her kids and grandkids for her wisdom that came from years of living a God-centered life. Even in her last years of ill health, she used her energy to lavish love and attention on her grandchildren. Most important, she continued to keep her prayer jar filled with petitions from her family. We know she is in heaven ensuring that those grandkids stay on the right road. May your path always be paved with purple roses, dear beautiful Gloria. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Nellie Edic; sister, Rena Holton; brother, Carroll Edic. She is survived by her children: Gary Werner (Becky), Greg Werner (Tami), Gail Robertson (Scott), and Curt Werner (Tammy); grandchildren: Stefanie Christensen (Erik), Lyndsie Vacanti (Charles), Clint Werner (Adrienne), Tara Grace (Alex), Jared Robertson, Afton Robertson, Cleighton Robertson, Brynn Robertson, Chelsea Werner, Bentley Werner, Westley Werner, and Winston Werner; five great-grandchildren; sister, Lila Edic; numerous nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Angie Gerhard and all of the nurses who provided such wonderful care to our mother. Gloria danced her way to heaven with the Bee Gees thanks to her nurses who kept her play list rolling.
