Gregory M. “Greg” Snere
November 3, 1948 – August 9, 2025
Gregory M. Snere, known to many as Greg, was born on November 3, 1948, in Seattle, Washington, and passed away on August 9, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 76.
Greg grew up in Algona, Iowa, and earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Northern Iowa. He spent his career in education, first as a business teacher and later as an administrator at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa.
He enjoyed golf, biking, and watching sports, and lived a life marked by thoughtfulness, intelligence, and quiet independence.
Greg is survived by his son, Christopher Snere; daughter-in-law, Laura Snere; grandchildren, Charlotte and John Snere. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Snere and Anita “Nete” Snere; brother, Jeffrey P. Snere.
Visitation: Saturday, August 16th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by a Vigil Service at 6:00 p.m., at Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler West Center Chapel.
Interment will follow at a later date.
