Ronald L. Hale Apr 23, 1934 Oct 28, 2015 Commissioned in the U.S. Army Artillery in June of 1956 as a 2nd Lieutenant; honorably discharged with permanent rank of Captain. A graduate of Central High School in Sioux City, Iowa, he received a B.A. in geology from the University of South Dakota at Vermillion, followed by post graduate studies at University of South Dakota and University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking. Mr. Hale was Vice President of Banking and Finance at Security National Bank for ten years, and Executive Vice President of First Westside Bank for nine years. He retired as First Vice President of Wachovia Securities in 2005. An active member of Scottish Rite, Mr. Hale was past Commander-Council of Kadosh, and 32nd Degree Knight Commander-Court of Honor. Other memberships included: Tangier Shrine, Rotary Club of Omaha West since 1970 (Secretary, 1988-1989 and President, 1999-2000), Sunset Valley Country Club, and Omaha Pipes and Drums (Drum Major, retired). He was an active member of Countryside Community Church since 1966, serving as moderator in 1994 and singing in the chancel choir for 30 years. He was deeply committed to the Omaha Home for Boys, with which he was actively involved. An amateur lapidary, he enjoyed many hobbies, including music, golf, calligraphy, and travel. He was preceded in death by parents, Lloyd and Margaret Hale. Survived by wife, Marilyn Hale; children, Jeffrey Scott Hale (Terri) and Suzanne Kay Josoff (Rob); grandchildren: Kelcy Hale, Amy Hale, Scott Hale (Aubry), Emily Edwards, Alyson Edwards, and Colten Josoff. VISITATION begins Monday, November 2nd at 1pm at Countryside Community Church, 8787 Pacific, followed by MEMORIAL SERVICE at 2pm at the church. Memorials are suggested to Visiting Nurses Association (VNA).
