William W. Halm Dec 30, 1933 – Feb 20, 2016 Age 82, of Omaha; devoted husband to Lenore (Bentzinger) Halm for 59 1/2 years, passed away peacefully at home on February 20, 2016. He was born near Cook, NE to the late Harvey and Hilda Halm. Bill was married to Lenore Bentzinger on June 10, 1956. They were blessed with daughters Deborah, Brenda, and Lori. Bill served proudly in the U.S. Army and had a long career in the trucking industry. He was a long time member of Rockbrook United Methodist Church in Omaha, traveled extensively, and made many friends along the way. In his younger years, Bill enjoyed his family and hunting, and was also a member of the Masonic Temple and the Tangier Shriners. Bill loved the fellowship of others and had a gift for storytelling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Fern Halm, and by his sister, Coleta Halm. Bill is survived by his loving wife Lenore; daughter, Deborah Halm of Texas, daughter Brenda and Randy Oathout of Omaha, and daughter Lori and Michael Rice of Maine; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his sister Janet (Halm) Butterfield and her husband Donald; brother-in-law Neal Bentzinger and wife Joyce; sister-in-law Arlene (Bentzinger) Williams; many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. VISITATION is on Friday, February 26th, from 5pm to 7 pm at Rockbrook United Methodist Church, 9855 West Center Road in Omaha. MEMORIAL SERVICE will be on Saturday, Feb 27th at 10:30 am at the church. Private interment at Osage Cemetery near Cook, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Methodist Hospital Home Health & Hospice or to Rockbrook United Methodist Church.
