Harlan John Vogt
April 18, 1928 – August 23, 2018
Born in Neligh, NE to John and Adella (Brozek) Vogt. He married Marcella Sedlak on August 13, 1949; to this union was born one son, Stephen. After graduating from Boys Town High School in 1946, he served two years in the U. S. Navy. He worked for Northern Natural Gas for 25 years before retiring. A strong supporter of the Boys Town Alumni Association, he was a founding member of the Boys Town National Alumni Scholarship Foundation.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella; parents; brother, Dick; two sisters. He is survived by his son, Stephen Vogt, Sr.; grandsons, Stephen Vogt, Jr. and Loren Vogt (Amy); granddaughter, Katy (Stephen).
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 28th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Wednesday, August 29th at 10am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 654 S. 86th St. Interment, Calvary Cemetery with military honors by Millard American Legion Post 374 & VFW Post 8334. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Boys Town Alumni Association.

Harlan and I were fellow employees at Northern Natural Gas Company. He was an excellent employee and I consider him to have been a good friend. My sympathy to the family and others at this time of grief.
