MUNSON, Harold A. Aug 3, 1912 Jan 9, 2013 Age 100. Survived by wife, Bertha A. “Bertie” Munson; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Russ Sharp, Allene and Tom Waldorf; grandchildren: Alison Waters (Jason), Brian Sharp (Kari), Christopher Sharp; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Waters and Samantha Waters; sisters-in-law, Bettie Forbach and Mary Greening; nieces and nephews. Born on August 3, 1912 in Omaha. He retired as Vice President of Guarantee Mutual Life Company and as Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Medical Service Corps Reserve. During his career he was President of the Nebraska Insurance Institute and the Institute of Home Office Underwriters, an international organization, and an Honorary Member of the Association of Home Office Underwriters. He was a charter member of St. Timothy Lutheran church, member Mizpah Lodge 302 A.F. & A.M., and American Legion Post 374. He was also past president of the Downtown Lions Club of Omaha. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 16, 2pm to 4pm at the West Center Chapel. SERVICES Thursday, January 17 at 11am at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 510 N. 93 St. Private Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park with military rites by Millard American Legion Post 374 and VFW Post 8334. Memorials are suggested to St. Timothy Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
