Harold E. “Red” Marshall

Harold E. “Red” Marshall, age 80, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Longview Care Center in Missouri Valley. Red was born November 9, 1933 in Mondamin, Iowa to Henry Carl and Florence Ann (Neill) Marshall. Red was married to Lois Dickinson, December 20, 1952 in Missouri Valley. He worked at Franklin’s Truck Stop, Sunnyside Truck Stop and then starting driving for PIE in Omaha, logging three million miles before retiring. Red enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars and riding his motorcycle. Red was preceded in death by his parents, brother Howard, brothers-in-law, Larry Hammer and Leonard Wade. Survivors include his wife: Lois Marshall; daughter: Valerie Marshall; son: Bob Marshall and wife Sally all of Missouri Valley, Iowa; sisters: Norma Jean Hammer of Modale, Iowa; Mary Ada Wade of Harlan, Iowa; brother: Richard Marshall of Missouri Valley, Iowa; grandchildren: R.C. Southerland and wife Rachael; Trisha LeMaire and husband Preston; great-grandchildren: Olivia and Sophia Southerland and Michael LeMaire; brother-in-law: Edward Dickinson and wife Jana of Indianapolis, Indiana; many nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews and cousins. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Christian Church Center following the committal service.
