Harold Everett Peterson

Harold Everett Peterson

April 3, 1933 – May 2, 2018

Pete was born in Volin, South Dakota to Lottie and Martin Peterson. Memories of his tight-knit family, idyllic childhood, and his beloved mother’s cooking (especially her cinnamon rolls) stayed with him throughout his life.  Western Electric brought him to Omaha where he married and raised a family of his own. He enjoyed Yankee baseball, tending to his vegetable garden, and home projects. Pete’s willingness to lend a hand, quiet sense of humor, and gentle nature endeared him to all lucky enough to know him, and he will be greatly missed. Pete was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances; daughter, Diana; and brother, Bob. He is survived by children: Francesca, Jennifer (John), Michael (Kathy), Lynda, and LeAnn; son-in-law, Tom; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Esther Klemmensen and Norma Nyhaug; many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 6th, from 3pm to 5pm at the West Center Chapel.  FUNERAL: Monday, May 7th, 10am at the West Center Chapel.  Private Interment.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association or Lutheran Family Services.
