Hazel R. Poage
December 28, 1925 – December 9, 2023
Hazel Isabell Rogers was born on December 28, 1925, in an old farm house at Moulton, Iowa, the fourth child of Anna Holland Rogers and Frank Miller Rogers. She attended Centerville Iowa Junior College and worked for 10 years for the Veterans Administration in Chariton, Knoxville, and Des Moines, Iowa. Her last position took her to Des Moines, where she met and married Raymond Driscoll Poage. They moved to Omaha in 1957, and have made their home there since that time. To this union, six children were born. They are Patricia Allen (Kevin), Scottsdale, Arizona, Kathleen Schmidt (Ron), Omaha, Nebraska, Robert (Martha), Scottsdale, Arizona, Dianna Holle (Dr. Larry), Phoenix, Arizona, Raymond (Denise), Tucson, Arizona, and Dr. David Poage, Omaha, Nebraska. She became a stay-at-home Mom and helped in running the family businesses, which included custom home building and managing their rental properties. Now there are nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She has been an avid tennis player, golfer, and bridge player.
