Helen C. (Lamm) Wollen

February 13, 1923 – October 17, 2018

Helen was born to Joseph and Mary Lamm. She graduated from South High School in 1940 and continued her education to receive her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. She taught in the Omaha Public Schools system for 42 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold and four siblings. She is survived by daughters, Mary (Cliff) Ehlers and Nancy Wollen; grandchildren: Katie (Kevin) Ruch, Chris Ehlers, Kevin (Korie) Ehlers, Josh, and Ryan Beckwith; great-grandchildren: Jameson, Peter, Quinn, and Nicholas; sister, Lorraine Frazee.

VISITATION begins at 9am on Saturday, October 27th at Christ the King Catholic Church, 654 S. 86th St. followed by MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 10am.  Entombment: Calvary Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to Fontenelle Forest or Christ the King Educational Trust.

    Helen was a classmate of my father, George Buglewicz at South High. In the 1970’s, I taught with Helen at Harrison School. She was an outstanding educator. May you be comforted by the memories you have of Helen. Rest in peace , Helen.
