Helen Marie McNiven
December 7, 1932 – May 7, 2024
It is with heavy heart and bittersweet emotion that we announce the passing of our beautiful, sweet mom, Helen McNiven on May 7, 2024. Helen was born December 7, 1932, in Primghar, Iowa, to Sophia and John Hansen. She married Dean McNiven on August 18, 1957, and was married for 34 years before his passing in 1991. From that marriage came 2 daughters, LeAnn Greer and Sharon (Larry) Weidner. She had a wonderful long life and found much joy in her grandchildren: Chelsea (Jeff) Clark, Lindsey Greer, Scott Weidner, Morgan Greer; and 2 great-grandchildren, Henry and Calvin Clark.
Mom, we will miss your quick wit, the ability to make the best cheese toast and the way you took care of all of us for so many years! Even though are hearts are broken, you are now free to dance with the angels. In our heart and memory, you will forever remain.
Per her wishes, a private family graveside service will take place on June 7, 2024, at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
