Jacqueline Marie Hoppes Jul 22, 1989 – Feb 19, 2015 Jacqueline Marie “Jackie” Hoppes, age 25, of Laredo, Texas and formally of Omaha, Nebraska, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 19, 2015. She was born in Omaha, NE to Michael and Carol (Diedrichsen) Hoppes on July 22, 1989. Jackie graduated from Westside High School in 2007 and went on to study at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality, Restaurant, and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Event Planning. While attending the University of Nebraska – Lincoln she participated in the Walt Disney World College Program. Jackie was employed by the Laredo Energy Arena as an Event Coordinator. She was preparing to move to Daytona Beach, FL to become the Event Coordinator for the Ocean Center. Jackie was an avid reader and compassionate about animals. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and traveling. Her travels took her to Cancun, Europe, Hawaii, Canada, multiple National Parks and several states. She was always looking for a new adventure. Jackie was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Erma Diedrichsen and Lee and Sally Hoppes. She is survived by her parents, Mike and Carol (Diedrichsen) Hoppes of San Antonio, TX; brother, Jon Hoppes of Omaha; aunts and uncle: Mary Christopher of St. Paul, MN, Barbara Haith of Lincoln, NE, Karen Temple of Boca Raton, FL, Robert and Ellen Shutts of Lincoln, NE; cousins: Sarah (Mossimo) Faggioli of St. Paul, MN, Kim Christopher of St. Paul, MN, Emily Haith of Denver, CO, Valerie (Brian) Hinrichs of Aurora, NE, Julie (Cameron) McDaniel of Des Moines, IA, Captain Brad Temple of Riverside, CA, Sarah (Captain Mike) Chadwick of Germany, Erin (Josh) Johnson of Glenvil, NE, Ryan (Stacy) Shutts of Lincoln, NE; best friend, Jessica Wickstrom of Omaha; numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 25th, from 6pm to 8pm at the West Center Chapel. MEMORIAL SERVICE Thursday, February 26th at 10am at West Hills Church, 3015 S. 82 Ave. GRAVESIDE SERVICE Thursday, 1:30pm, Scribner Municipal Cemetery in Scribner, Nebraska. Memorials will be directed by the family.
