Reynolds III, Horace H. “King”, Lt. Col. USAF (Ret.) February 28, 1935 – June 19, 2015 Preceded in death by parents, Horace and Belva Reynolds. Survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Beverly; children, Mark, Horace (Anne), Robin Reynolds; grandchildren, Brenna (Scott) O’Doherty, Jillian Reynolds; sister, Jean (Jim) Bruesewitz; nephews James (Esme) and Jonathan (Margaret); grand-niece, Annabelle; brothers-in-law, John (Irene), Arthur (Jackie), Joseph (Joyce) Tuoto; special family friends, Jerry Jensen, Evelyn Kendrick; many other beloved family members and friends. King was born in El Paso, TX, where he spent his early years until the family moved to California. He grew up in the ASARCO company town of Tormey. King worked in the ASARCO smelter while attending John Swett High School in Crockett. King and Bev met while attending the University of California, Berkeley. He obtained his Degree in Public Administration while in the Air Force from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. King proudly served in the Air Force for 23 years, beginning his career as an Airman in 1956. Early in his Air Force career King completed Officer Candidate School, and was then assigned to bases in California, Louisiana, Texas, Germany, North Dakota, where he was a Missile Commander, Colorado, where King graduated from the Photo Imaging School, Korea, where he served with the Joint Allied Command, and finally Offutt Air Force Base, where he served in the Intelligence Division. While in Texas, King was assigned to the Security Service where among other duties he served as the liaison to the Consul General of Mexico. After retirement from the Air Force, King attended Creighton University School of Law, and was admitted to the Nebraska State Bar in 1984. King was a longtime instructor of Business and Real Estate Law at Metropolitan Community College where he loved sharing his respect for the law with his students. He enjoyed the special occasions of judging Moot Court at Creighton School of Law. VISITATION: 5-7pm, Monday, June 22, 2015 at Bellevue Memorial Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30am, Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Bellevue. Memorials are suggested to Wounded Warriors Project, the Creighton University School of Law or the Midlands Humane Society of Council Bluffs, IA
