Russell E. Hounshell June 14, 1926 – June 10, 2015 Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Russ was a Journalism graduate from the University of Iowa. He had a 58-year advertising career with Henry Field Co., Bozell & Jacobs, Frederickson/Hounshell Associates, and SKAR Advertising. Russ was a member of the Omaha Federation of Advertising, American Marketing Association, Omaha Press Club, Kiwanis, Phi Delta Theta, and St. Paul United Methodist Church. Survived by beloved wife of 67 years, Edna; daughters, Kathy Williams (Mark) and Valorie Fossberg (Roger); grandchildren: Emily Natal (Robert), Scott Fossberg (Kelly), Sarah Ashelford (Andrew), and Skylar Fossberg; great-grandchildren: Rohen and Delaney Natal and Eli Ashelford; sister, Jean Sullivan; cousin, Bob Gregory (Vivian). His gentle nature, positive attitude and love of life will stay with us always. CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held Wednesday, June 17th at 10am at Trinity Village, 522 W. Lincoln St. in Papillion. Private Interment, Walnut Hill Cemetery in Council Bluffs. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul United Methodist Church of Omaha or Trinity Immanuel Foundation.
