Idamae, known to most people as Micki, was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, nani, and big nani.  She enjoyed raising her five children and spending time with them.  A graduate of Technical High School, Micki met the love of her life, Ray, on a blind date and they married in 1959.  To help support the family, Micki worked at Burger King for more than 30 years; she always enjoyed seeing the repeat customers.

Micki enjoyed gardening, with flowers being her favorite.  Every summer she and Ray would have a large garden and Micki would spend hours canning all the tomatoes, beans, etc., that the garden yielded.  She also enjoyed going to garage sales, trying to locate the next great find.

Micki enjoyed volunteering at Mary Our Queen School where her children attended grade school.  She was famous for her jack o’ lantern sugar cookies that she would cut out and decorate at Halloween for all of the school children.  She was also involved with the hospital ministry where she visited the parishioners in the hospital.

While we are going to miss Mom, we are glad she and Pops are together again.
