James A. Graham

GRAHAM-James A. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away on April 15. He was born 1/23/43 in Harvey, IL. At a young age, he started working with his uncle finishing floors to provide extra income for his family. When he was 19, he went to work for the Illinois Central Railroad in Chicago, IL. It was here that Jim met his bride Beverly. They married on 6/18/66. Jim and Bev welcomed their son, David and daughter, Sharon into their lives. Jim moved his family to Bellevue, NE in 1978 and eventually started a career path with Sitel Corp, where he retired as Vice President of Information Systems in 2003. Jim was a hard-working, quiet man with a kind heart, generous soul, and a humorous side thrown in the mix when you least expected. While his body was being ravaged with cancer, Jim would give his family a quick smile or a reassuring touch on the hand and say “it’s okay”. He remained brave and strong to the end while his body was frail, weak, and engulfed in pain. We will always carry you in our hearts, remember the smile on your face, and the twinkle in your eyes. Jim is survived by his wife, Beverly; son, David and wife Kristine, Omaha; daughter, Sharon and husband Phil Miller, Missouri Valley, IA; grandchildren, Anne, Elizabeth, Chloe and Philip III; brother, Robert and wife Jacqueline, Tucson, AZ; sisters, Paula and husband Russell Gary, Brighton, CO; Ann and husband Michael Canada, Chicago, IL. Memorials to American Cancer Society. FUNERAL SERVICE Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Bellevue Memorial Chapel. Private Interment. VISITATION Tuesday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
