James A. Walsh

July 26, 1960 – January 10, 2024

James Andrew Walsh, age 63, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on January 10, 2024 in the company of his family at the Nebraska Medical Center. Jim was born on July 26, 1960.  He attended Central High School in Omaha, from which he graduated in 1978.  After high school, Jim enlisted and served in the United States Navy.  Jim was a lifelong lover of music and an accomplished guitar player.  He had an infectious smile and a laugh that invited all present to laugh with him.  Jim was a devoted son. In the later years of his life, he provided faithful assistance and steady companionship to his elderly mother.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Walsh Sr.; his brother, Thomas J. Walsh, Jr.; brother, William E. Walsh.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia Walsh; siblings: Ellen (Mike) High, Jean Walsh (Tom Van Houten), Dan (Amy) Walsh, Patrick (Tito) Walsh (Erin Dessain); sister-in-law, Nancy Walsh, widow of Thomas J. Walsh, Jr.
