August 19, 1947 – July 13, 2019
Preceded in death by parents, Hugo and Irene. Survived by wife, Vicki A. Grassau; children: Mike (Dori), Chris McGrath (Neil), Karen Zink (Ron), and Julie Digilio (Mark); grandchildren: Ashley, Michael, T.J., Kara, Colin, Jake, Devin, Madison, Lydia, Nadia, and Anthony; great-grandchildren, Ava and Emma; brothers, Tom (Teri) and Rick (Jeanne); sister, Mary Bush (Mike); nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 17th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Thursday, July 18th at 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2110 S. 32nd Ave. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society.

Loved him like a big brother and will miss him so much – especially his laugh and sense of humor. Was honored to be one of the few to be able to call him ‘Jimmy. May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Vicki, so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. It brought up a lot of memories of fun times when we were all kids. Hikes in Fontenelle Forest, camping out at Memphis State Park or just running wild on 23rd Street. Our prayers and best wishes to you and to all of Jim’s kids, grand-kids and great-grandkids.
