James “Jim” Nathan Morris

James “Jim” Nathan Morris

August 17, 1958 – June 21, 2024

James Nathan Morris passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, in Omaha Nebraska. James (Jim) was born on August 17, 1958, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Raymond and Inez Morris.

As a young man Jim discovered his love for sports, such as hockey and went on to play in the goalie position during his days at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Jim found a true hobby in aviation and logged many hours flying around the country. Jim was always devoted to his time with his family and friends, which continued on throughout the course of his life.

Following his graduation from University, Jim spent many   years working at A-1 Amoco gas station, where he met his future wife, Kelly. Jim and Kelly married and had two beautiful children together, Jensen and Erin. Jim went on to continue his love for aviation and worked at Eppley Airfield for over 20 years as a line
supervisor at Tac Air/Atlantic Aviation.

In his free time Jim was always looking for a new show to watch, listening to his favorite 80’s rock music, and spending time with his granddaughter, Kynlee. Jim had a strong love for all animals, making donations to the Humane Society on a regular basis, and always had a joke to share up his sleeve. Jim was a hardworking, smart, and a sarcastic man, and will be missed terribly by his loved ones.

Jim was preceded in death by father, Raymond Morris; mother, Inez Morris; brother, Mike Morris; and brother-in-law, Larry Frank.

Jim is survived by ex-wife, Kelly; daughters, Jensen (Josh) and Erin; and granddaughter, Kynlee; sisters, Julie (Frank), and Jan; nieces, Lindsay (Joe), Kiley, and Ashley (Dan); and nephew, Andrew (Erica).

I worked with Jim at Atlantic for over 2 years, he was always energetic and a fun guy to be around. He will be missed dearly by my first shift crew and we will always remember Jim.
