Jimmy was “family” to us. We loved him so much. He was like a second grandpa to our daughter. We will miss your jokes, your smile and your laughter. Thinking and praying for all of you at this time of loss. He truly was one of the great ones!

Thoughts and prayers of comfort for the family! Thank you Officer Circo for your service to the Omaha Police force! May you Rest in Peace !
So sorry to learn of Jim’s passing. He was such a great guy. When he was out and about he would stop at the mortuary (Dworaks) and spend time visiting. Such an enjoyable person. Always asked about the kids and enjoyed telling of his family. He will be missed. Our sympathy to you.
His earthly ‘roll call’ is over, now his spirit, faith, joy and laughter will enrich heavenly roll call forever. Strength to the family and friends; we will all miss you ‘Sarge’.
Sgt. Circo was a good police officer. Even after being promoted he never stoped being a cop.
One very cold New Years Eve I was called to locate an armed suspect who had tried to kidnal,a young girl at knife point. No other officers were available to back me up.
So I went after him alone. As I entered the house a cruiser pulled ip and Sgt. Circo got out and we both went in after the suspect. And we got him.
Not every command officer would have done that. But Jim Circo was an old-school cop. May he rest in peace.
Jim used to give my brother (Joe) and I rides on his motorcycle back in the 60’s. Our sister married Jack Swanson(deceased) and the live in various places in Omaha. Our family is originally from Greeley, Ne. and I and the
Greeeley boys played softball and frequented the bar on 33rd and Leavenworth. I remember a Cathy Circo that attended UNO and she was easy on the eyes. Sorry for your loss. I married Pam McKearney(deceased) of 16 and Center street (St. Pat’s and St. Joe’s.) Some of the family might remember Barney McKearnery from the gas station at 16th and Castelar. Many great memories of Omaha and the Circo gang. Best Wishers to all. Dave
