On behalf of the employees of Independent Roofing Co, our condolences to Peg and the family and to Jim’s family at The Lerner Co. Jim, I will miss you and our discussions after work where we solved all the problems of the world for at least a couple of hours. I could not have asked for a better work partner. Tom and I have lost a great friend for the time being. See you later with a glass of happiness.
I was fortunate to get the chance to work with Jim while at The Lerner Co. His passion for his work was inspiring, while his big heart and kindness were admirable.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
What can you say when you loose a friend who was more like a brother, We were boys together and became men together. We lost touch for a longtime but by the grace of God one day I got that phone call and it was like we were never apart, a true blessing. Then I got to meet his wonderful family and we became Grandpa’s together. Jim once asked my why my Dad always picked on him, it was simple Dad picked on everyone he liked and who ever met Jim and didn’t like him. Jim turned me into a Husker fan and somehow got me to eat a Runza, both very extraordinary things. I can go on forever but it is enough to say I am very sad at Jim’s passing and at the same time I am overjoyed at having known and loved him.
