To the entire Becker Family: Jim was not only my dentist but a good family friend. I have only know Jim and his Dad, Ed, as my dentist my entire life! It saddens me to hear of his passing but am sure he was doing something fun and enjoying life as he always did. So proud of his kids and their families. We always shared stories when I had a visit. One time I mistakenly got scheduled with one of his partners and I told the receptionist “You don’t understand. This is more of a social visit than a dentist visit! I only see Dr. Becker!” You will be truly missed. Thoughts and Prayers to the family.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Becker family & the Shadow Ridge Dental group. Jim was my dentist for many years and many, many visits. He was the first dentist I ever had that was so very patient and sympathetic with my fears of having dental work completed, He was a very compassionate man and he will be missed by many…especially me!

I was so deeply saddened to learn of Jim’s passing. Dr. Jim had been my dentist and more importantly my friend for 38 years. Though I moved from Omaha a couple of years ago, my semi-annual visits always included trips to the dentist, and who looks forward to seeing the dentist? His warm greeting and friendly smile will be long remembered and greatly missed. God Bless and God speed, my Friend. Peace be with you, my brother.

Jim..our family dentist and wonderful friend. We would laugh about the hunting escapades back in his younger days. He and Rick had a so-called hot line from the blinds to his office, When he got that call, there was suddenly an emergency and Jim was gone for the day-always prepared with the gun and hunting gear in the car.. So sorry I can’t be at his service, but sending all of Jim’s family my love hugs and prayers .

My sincere condolences to the entire Becker family. Jim was a life long friend from high school. I can remember many challenging basketball games which unfortunately I never won as well as many enjoyable rounds of golf. He was a true friend who always warmly received you whether as a patient or social occasions. I agree with prior comments that going to Jim as my dentist was certainly a social visit. He will truly be missed. Farewell my good friend rest in peace

Dr. Becker was our family dentist for many years at his south 60th street location. I had a terrible fear of the dentist and after getting a horrible gum infection that could have taken my life I went to him and he was so gentle and worked with me and my fears and got it all cleaned up. Have not feared a dentist since. Sending many thoughts and prayers to his family at this time of loss.

My sincere condolences to the entire Becker family. Jim was a friend and colleague for 40 years. Jim and his dad took me under their wing our freshman year of dental school and boy am I thankful they did. The class of “79” has many great memories, Jim schooling us on the basketball court, on the golf course, and many hunting adventures . We all have one common thread describeing Jim, a great guy and we will miss him !! RIP Jim

To the Becker family you have my sincere condolences. Jim and I were 4 year guards for our high school basketball team and that friendship and those memories still stand strong in my life. We went our separate ways but fortunately a number of years ago we reunited for a weekend when Ball State played Nebraska and he and teammate Dave Beaudoin hosted our visit to Omaha and Lincoln. God Speed Jim and rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the family of Jim. He was an amazing dentist that I have gone to for years. IHe even gave us one of our dogs when he got pick of the litter from his chocolate labs. We always had so many laughs and I really enjoyed seeing him. He lived life to the fullest. He will truly be missed by many. RIP Jim.

I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to dental work, and had avoided the dentist for years before I found Dr. Becker (around 20 years ago). Needless to say a lot of work needed done and I spent many hours in the chair with him. Jim was patient and understanding. His calm demeanor and gentle touch provided the comfort I needed. My smile and most of my confidence are owed to this man, his smile, and his warm personality. I never thought I would “Love my Dentist” and look forward to visits. He changed my life. My thoughts are with his wonderful staff and family. May you find peace.

So very sorry to hear Dr. Becker passing. He was our dentist for more than 20 years. I saw him on Saturday prior and it was a complete shock to see this. Condolences to his family, his staff and all who knew him. He was a fabulous dentist and very good person and he will truly be missed by many

My sincere heartfelt condolences to Dr. Beckers family. Like many here, I have been a patient of Dr. Beckers my entire life. Dr. Jim, & his dad, Dr. Ed, are the only dentists I have ever known. I am 58 yrs old. It saddens me to think I’ll never see him anymore. The thought of going to the dentist frightens me now.
