Survived by wife, Berniece “Dee” Smith; children: Daniel J. and Nancy Smith of Cleveland, OH, James and Dorothy Sutphen of Papillion and children, Heather, Jamie and Jennifer, Brenda and Rodney Dilts of West River, MD and children, Angelleda, Justis and Dylan, Sandra (Carbaugh) and Felipe Velazquez of Omaha and children, Alexander and Gabriella Chacon; sister, Doris Dahl of Chicago, IL; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Goodell and Sherry Collins; brother-in-law, Kermit Cornelius, all of Omaha; many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; other relatives and friends. Services Monday, 1:30 p.m., West Center Chapel. Interment, Hillcrest Cemetery with full military honors by Benson VFW Post 2503. Visitation from 4:00 p.m. Sunday, with family receiving friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the West Center Chapel.
