Jane M. Schuyler

Jane M. Schuyler

March 14, 1951-September 20, 2023

Jane Marie Schuyler of Omaha, NE  passed away suddenly at her home on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Born on March 14, 1951, she was adopted by Joe and Fern Dellere of Omaha, along with her sister and best friend, Nancy.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Fern Dellere. She is survived by her husband, Tom; children, Robert (Carrie), Shanna Schneiderwind (William), Joseph (Heather), Sarah Farber (Justin).

Jane loved many things in life, but most of all she loved her husband Tom. They were wed on October 15, 1971. Jane and Tom enjoyed travelling the world together.  They were the ultimate role models for their children to witness a wonderful marriage.

Jane loved her children. She always answered the call when her phone rang and it was one of her children calling to catch up. She loved to know the details of their day to day, and to hear how they were doing.

Jane loved her 10 grandchildren and they loved her. She enjoyed spoiling them with birthday goodies and sending them cards with their age matched in dollars on the inside. Her grandchildren loved to visit for the holidays and seeing the huge displays of decorations that she would put out. She would often FaceTime them to catch up on their lives.

Jane loved to cook. Amassing an enormous collection of cookbooks and impressive cookware over the years. She delighted in planning and curating extraordinary meals for her family and putting on a display of her phenomenal dishes.

Jane loved to garden. She tended to her garden with love and grew her own veggies and spices to cook with. She had what almost felt like a secret garden behind the home with well loved trees, bushes, and flowers for all to take in their beauty.

Jane loved her dogs, Finn and Stella, and her kitty “Kitty”. They would follow her all over the house as they were as loyal to her as she was to them.

She passed in the home that she built and loved. We will all miss her more than words can ever express. We know she was greeted in heaven by her adoring parents, Joe and Fern.

Visitation: Monday, September 25th, at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 15353 Pacific Street, Omaha, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial: at 11:00 a.m. Lunch to follow Mass.

My Dad, Nick was an older brother to Joe. Nick died at 61 in 1969 and he was the glue that kept many of the relatives connected! In the early days we would see the folks in Omaha over Thanksgiving! I think Dad loved Fern’s cooking and we loved seeing our cousins, Nancy and Jane! What fun we had in the snow in Omaha! My Uncle Joe’s family would come to visit the Manhattan Dellere’s in the heat of summer in Kansas! Those are such wonderful memories! Jane was filled with laughter and had that mischievous smile of hers!
Our family of six so regrets not getting to know your family!
We send our deepest sympathy to your loving family!
Frank and Mary Dodd, Regan, Ryan, Reilly and Rustin
