Jane Marie Ellison

Jane Marie Ellison died Thursday November 20, 2023 under the care of her daughter in Springfield, NE after suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 88. A private graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha. 

Jane spent most of her years in Omaha but the last 25 years was spent with her husband Bob Ellison in Missouri Valley, IA. She was very fond of the time she spent in Billings, MT, Denver, CO and most of all Frankfort Germany. She enjoyed camping, bowling and bingo. 

Jane was the youngest of five children and was the granddaughter of German immigrants. “Baby Jane” had a special relationship with her father Samuel Jones and especially her three older brothers Dick, Bob, and John Paul, also her sister Elinore. 

Jane worked in the nursing profession and over the years worked in hospitals, nursing homes and private duties toward the end of her career. Although she was very proud of her nurse profession, her proudest accomplishments were her five children and five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. She loved to tell stories about “Her Kids.” 

She is survived by her children Jaqueline Newcomb, Jeana Wilhite, Joseph Hendricks, Jeffrey Narduzzo and John Narduzzo (Christel); grandchildren Jacob (Kayla), Jessica, Samantha, Joshua and Justin (Desiree); great grandchildren Jaylee, James, Jacob, Jed, Jacelyn, Tenley, Juliette and Weston; sister Elinore; seven nephews and two nieces. Preceded in death by husband Bob Ellison; son Jim Hendricks; infant daughter Linda Narduzzo; infant son Joseph Narduzzo.
