Jane was born in Omaha, NE to Dr. Raymond and Josephine Kraft on January 20, 1943. She grew up in the Field Club area, and graduated from South High School in 1960. She spent many family vacations in Branson, Missouri. She treasured those times with her family.

In 1962, she married and had four beautiful girls: Rosemary, Lori, Mary Jo, and Kelly.  Jane met her soul mate at Dinker’s Bar, while she was digging through the trash for beer cans that her kids were collecting for money. When he saw her, he said, “What’s a beautiful women like you doing digging through the trash.” Jane married the love of her life, Raymond Zaracki, in 1975. They were happily married for 7 years until his untimely death in 1982.

Jane spent many years being a stay at home mom. Later on she began babysitting for a few families, and eventually became a secretary. She worked for many years for St. Ann’s Catholic Church, and then for American Baptist Church. Jane retired from her administrative position at the Douglas County Hospital.

Jane loved music and many different types of music including The Bee Gees and country music. However, her all-time favorite was Irish music. Jane was very proud of her Irish heritage. One of her favorite things was going downtown to the Dubliner Pub to listen to Irish music!

Jane was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray Zaracki; her parents, Dr. Raymond and Josephine Kraft; brother, Fr. Kevin Kraft; granddaughter, Mary Jane Fitzgerald, and grandson, Nicholas Anthony Kolvek.

Jane is survived by her daughters, Rosemary John Kolvek, Lori John Knight (Tom), Mary Jo John Williams (Doug), and Kelly John Fitzgerald (John); eleven grandchildren: Ryan, Jacob, Justine, Kevin, Angela, Patrick, Vinny, Madison, Nate, Alec, and Rylee; six great-grand-children: Roman, Rory, Jon, Jackzen, Brad, and Alex; brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Kathy Kraft; sisters, Rosemary Whitehurst and Judy Durough.

Our hearts are broken. Our mom will be deeply missed. But we have faith that we will all be together one day!

I remember Jane from Douglas County Hospital. She was a ward clerk on the 5th floor. She loved her sunflower seed nuts

To all Janie’s Family, our deepest and heartfelt sympathy, I just learned of her passing. We were friends for many years while living in Omaha. We met as teens and worked together at a savings and loan company for several years. She was a wonderful friend and I was honored to be an attendant in her wedding in 1962. I know she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
