VISITATION: Sunday, January 8th, starts at 2 p.m., with 4 p.m. VIGIL SERVICE, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 654 S.86th St.  MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Monday, January 9th, at 10:30 a.m., Christ the King Catholic Church.  ENTOMBMENT: Resurrection Mausoleum.

Memorials are suggested to Project Harmony, Christ Child, Christ the King Educational Trust, or a charity of your choice.

Janet was born in Omaha, NE, to James J. and Anna K. Mirasky on November 5, 1936. Her sister, Joan, was just 13 months older, and they were very close. She married Gerald Haney on August 31, 1957, and they had five children: Diane(Peter) Longo of Kearney, NE, Marge Jenkins of Omaha, NE, Doug(Michelle) Haney of Anthem, AZ, Liz Haney of Omaha, NE, Guy Haney of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren: Sarah(Brad) Bohn of Rochester, MN, Pete (Danielle) Longo of Kearney, NE, Hank Jenkins of Seattle, WA, Jack Jenkins of Portland, ME, Jana(Tyler) Plantz of Frankfort, IL, Sam Jenkins of Omaha, NE, Alyssa Haney of Phoenix, AZ, Trevor Haney of Lubbock, TX; was proudly called G.G. by: Eloise, Nora, Kate, and Brooks Bohn, Amelia,, Charlie, Sophie, and Bennett Longo, Gianna Mikitish; in-laws: Loranna and Duane Brackenbury, and Judy Cunningham; beloved nephews, nieces, and friends. Janet was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Gerry; parents, Jim and Anna Mirasky; sister, Joan, and her husband, Richard Bader; Gerry’s parents, Eileen and Ken Haney.

    Sincere condolences to the entire Haney family! Jan was the kindest of neighborhood moms and I have many fond memories to reflect upon! May God bless you all!

    My deepest sympathy to the Haney Family. I Enjoyed our friendship as a kind, caring person. She was always willing to help and cared about others. I will miss her cheerful smile and being able to call her for lunch. May your fond memories comfort you at this sad time! God Bless and Prayers!!
