Janet Sue (Wilke) Truelsen
February 23, 1938 – November 15, 2021
Age 83, the daughter of Walter Henry Wilke and Margaret Tracy Wilke born on February 23, 1938, in Omaha, Nebraska. She passed away on November 15, 2021, in Omaha.
Family includes sister, Phyllis Lovell of Beatrice, NE; son, Tom Truelsen (Monica), whom she fondly referred to as “Sonny”; daughter, Susan Knapp (Bob); granddaughter, Brooke Jackson (Tom); great-grandchildren, Cole and Isabel Jackson; her trusted companion dog, Ava.
Janet went to Benson High School, attended University of Nebraska, Omaha. She was a successful businesswoman with a long career as an executive administrator in Real Estate Relocation, volunteered at Methodist Hospital where she served as President of VIP, was an active member of Chapter FD PEO where she also served as President. Janet was very active at her church where she led Bible studies and held many other positions. She was an avid reader, loved games and had conquered Mahjong this past year with her Aksarben Village friends. Janet had a great sense of humor and too many friends to count. She will be greatly missed.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Saturday, November 20th at 10:30am at First Covenant Church, 201 N. 90th Street. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Covenant Church, 201 N. 90th Street, Omaha, NE 68114 or Methodist Hospital Foundation, 8700 West Dodge Street, Suite 450, Omaha NE 68114.

I am so sorry to hear of Janet’s passing. Prayers for those who knew and loved her.
We are SO very sorry for your loss. Your mother was a wonderful person and so much fun. She had the best smile and laugh. She was so special.
