September 25, 1961 – January 5, 2020

 

Jarvis “Jerry” Edwards was born in Omaha, NE to Eloise and Lewis Edwards on September 25, 1961.  Jarvis attended Saratoga Elementary, Horace Mann and North High School.

Jarvis soon found his passion for cooking where he worked at Village Inn for 25 + years.  During that time, Jarvis battled from Kidney Failure.  Nothing could stop him from being the loving son, father, husband, stepfather and grandfather!  His smile and warm heart would brighten up a room!

Jarvis is preceded in death by grandfather, Lester Sanders Sr.; grandmother, Willie Mae Sanders; nephew, James Edwards; father, Lewis Edwards; and grandmother: Augusta Bowers.

He leaves to cherish his mother; Eloise Edwards; wife; Denise King-Edwards; daughter, Alexis Tolbert; stepson’s, Mike (Kathy) and James Myers; siblings: Glenda Sanders Starks (Reggie), Lorraine McCoy (Sam), Arthur, Wallace and Randy Edwards; grandchildren: Kandice, Collin, Kyler, Jaymes, Kaeleb, Javaris, Tynlee, Ella and Unborn Jalaya; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish his memory and love.

Family will receive friends Monday, January 13th from 12 noon to 1pm, at the West Center Chapel followed by a FUNERAL SERVICE at 1pm.

    I will miss you even though I didn’t know you as well as others did but you are family and we will miss you my condolences to the family we will keep you all in prayer.

    Jerry was like my brother. I have known him and his family for more than 50 years. RIP dear brother. To Jerry’s wife and entire family, I pray that God assists you all during this most difficult time. Jerry will truly be missed.
