May 18, 1940-August 10, 2025
Jean M. (Ross) Pullen, age 85, of Omaha passed away peacefully on August, 10, 2025. She is now in heaven rejoicing with the Lord. Jean was born on May 18, 1940, to Harold and Mae Ross in Central City, Nebraska. She attended University of Nebraska and K-State from which she received her teaching degree. In 1959, she married Boyd Burhoop and they were blessed with 4 children. Kimberly, Cynthia, Curtis and Craig. They settled in York, Nebraska, where she loved living on the farm, playing the organ for church and teaching 5th grade students. Jean and Boyd divorced in 1983. She married William Pullen of Central City, Nebraska, in 1990 and they enjoyed traveling to various countries including several trips to the Holy Land where she was baptized in the Jordan River.
Jean was a woman of deep faith and a compassionate heart to serve others. Her purpose was to know, love and follow Jesus and she did that until the moment of her passing. Her greatest joy was knowing those close to her knew and loved the Jesus she knew. She would want all to remember her and ponder these words,
“Only one life ‘twill soon be past. Only what’s done for Christ will last.” – C.T. Studd
