Jeannine Elaine Krauer Timmons
March 9, 1931-July 10, 2023
Jeannine Elaine Krauer Timmons, March 9, 1931-July 10, 2023, Omaha, NE. Jeannine is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Darrell D. Timmons.
Jeannine was born in Omaha, NE and attended Benson High School where she met the love of her life, Darrell Timmons. They were married on Feb 9, 1952, and moved to Norfolk, Virginia, where Darrell was stationed in the Navy. They were blessed with three children and settled in Omaha after the Navy commitment ended. Jeannine was a busy homemaker as her children grew. She supported the family business with payroll. She and Darrell enjoyed trips to Hawaii and Mexico. Jeannine was a passionate grandma who invested in her grandchildren. She travelled to California and Virginia to spend time with Sheryl’s family. She was blessed to provide infant care to Deb and Steve’s children. Grandma time continued to be special as she guided us with love, quiet strength and fun humor. Grandma always told it to you straight but with a shy smile as she laughed. The grands had Tuesday Grandma days where she picked them up from school to spend some special time – reading, playing, or just rocking in the chair. Family time was most important. She ensured that we celebrated every holiday at their home with traditions carried forward from the past. Jeannine became a talented quilter with the most amazing sense of fabric combinations and meticulous piecing, her quilts are true works of art. She made a special quilt for each family member that will be cherished. Jeannine volunteered at the Nebraska Humane Society. She had an affection for dogs and they loved her. The family has wonderful stories of their fur babies: Heidi, Aggie, Coco, and Hannah. She leaves a wonderful legacy.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren: son, Steven Timmons (Judy), Craig Timmons, Brian Timmons; daughter, Deb Seaman (Vincent), Becca (Matt) Thiel, Sarah Hagarty (Andy); daughter, Sheryl Smith (Carl), Trevor Smith (Auli), and Rachel Coyle (Brian). She enjoyed her 12 great-grands and many fur baby grands. Other survivors include her brother, Irvie Hook; sisters, Reva Dall, and Neva Davis.
Celebration of life gathering: Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 3-5PM at West Center Chapel. Memorials can be directed to the Nebraska Humane Society.
1 Condolence
I remember Jeannine very well. So sorry to hear this. She was such a sweet lady. I am not able to make the services, but please accept my condolences. I’m also sad to hear that Darrell had passed. You folks are lovely people. I remember Steve very well too. I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful organ you bought from me. God Bless you all.
