Jeffrey Allyn Kane, Jr.

Jeffrey Allyn Kane, Jr.

October 9, 1982 – October 21, 2022

Jeffrey Allyn Kane, Jr. was born on October 9, 1982, in Danbury, CT to Jeff and Melissa Kane. He was his parents’ pride and joy, and he grew up loving books, the outdoors, and fishing with family at Lake Erie. He graduated from St. Stephen the Martyr Elementary school when it opened in 1992 and Skutt Catholic High School in 2001. He attended both UNO and Metro Community College where he studied horticulture and landscape design, which he enjoyed and excelled. His Grandparents lived in Ohio, and Jeffrey loved fishing with Family on his Grandpa Kane’s fishing boat at Lake Erie and playing with cousins in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Newark, Ohio. He was a lifelong fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes football and basketball teams, as well as the Creighton Bluejays. He traveled frequently with family to the Horseshoe to watch his favorite college football team, as well as attending Bluejay basketball games and the College World Series with family and friends.

Family was most important to Jeffrey, and he loved spoiling his niece Mia Rose, and teasing his sister Kelly Marie. He lost his life much too soon this past week, as he suffered from Addison’s Disease that impacted his physical health, but never his soul. His kindness, gentleness, and sense of humor will be missed deeply. He made being a grandson, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin look easy.

Jeffrey is survived by his parents, Jeff and Melissa Kane; sister, Kelly Krieger; niece, Mia Rose Krieger; uncles; aunts; cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bob and Shirley Kane; maternal grandparents, Bill and Mary Estelle Ehret of Newark, Ohio.
