I first met Jeff in the early ’70s as part of a bowling team at the now-defunct Rose Bowl. That led to other bowling leagues at establishments throughout Omaha and as our lives evolved, we stayed in touch He helped me with a couple of moves I made, we celebrated each others’ weddings, some hobbies, and as our lives changed and we neared retirement, we helped one another in making the necessary financial decisions more understandable with so many plans and options to consider. Jeff was a very approachable and willing friend with a knack for humor just at the right time. We shared an interest in business and current events, and via his painting work he had great insight into what was happening in our city and state. Until his illness, we talked on the phone regularly and enjoyed getting together, although it was too often for hospital visits and the funerals of others we knew. Jeff was a wonderful friend over four decades. My condolences to the family.

To Richard Brown, seeing that you knew of Jeff’s illiness and I had lost contact with him, is there a chance you could tell me what caused his death. I know he was a heavy smoker and wondered if it was related to that. thank you. So sorry for your loss and sorry that I hadn’t talked to him for over a year and was not aware that he was sick so i could have at least visited with him.

So sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing. I had been friends with him for about 25 years and kind of lost contact over the last few. Am very curious to know what he passed from. Seemed very healthy last time i spoke to him.
