They moved to Magnolia, Iowa to raise their family and retired in Turin, Iowa. Before her retirement, Jenna drove the school bus for several years for the Logan Magnolia School District, and served as the Mayor of Magnolia for 1 term and also wallpapered with Vicki Cunard as a side job. Jenna and Russell also raised several foster children over the years. Prior to moving to Magnolia, Jenna lived in Council Bluffs and managed Continental Trailways Bus Depot located on Broadway; other jobs included Grants, Sears, JC Penney’s and Spiegel’s. Jenna had the gift of gab which she has passed down to her children and grandchildren and was always the life of the party. You always knew when she entered the room as you could hear her wonderful laugh! She was happiest when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Jenna and Russell spent many Saturday nights going dancing; she was also a great cook and made the most amazing pies & homemade rolls. She also loved interior decorating and, most of all, shopping! She loved shopping so much that, as her health declined, she resorted to QVC. Jenna was always loaded with “bling”….she loved wearing jewelry (especially large rings) and dressing up! She was also a master at entertaining; if you came to her house for dinner, she would set out her best china and serve coffee in her fancy silver tea set. Jenna loved everyone and will be truly missed by all her family and friends. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa.
