Jerald E. Davis, age 71, of Mondamin, Iowa passed away on June 7, 2015 at Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Jerald was born on September 9, 1943 to Fred and Lewis (Pearl) Davis in Dunlap, Iowa. Jerald was united in marriage to his wife Jennie Davis on September 2, 1983. He was a lifetime member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars. Jerald was a machinist at Vickers for 33 years. During the Vietnam War, Jerald delivered ammunition to the soldiers. He always put on a grand Fourth of July Celebration. He enjoyed gardening, tractors, fishing, and having fish frys. Jerald is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Pearl Davis, wife Jennie Davis, brother: James Robert Davis, two half-brothers; Jordan and Pat Davis, half-sister Helen Snethen, grandson: Matthew Mueller, great grandson: Jordan Vaagen, and daughter-in-law: Kristi Bonnichsen. Jerald is survived by his two daughters and three sons and their families; Bonnie and Greg Mueller of Logan, Iowa, Linda and Gary Peterson of Stanley, North Carolina, Tom and Meg Bonnichsen of Ashland, Nebraska, Bob Bonnichsen of Omaha, Nebraska, and Jim and Kathy Bonnichsen of Fargo, North Dakota, sisters; Betty Hartwig of Dunlap, Iowa, Ruth Nagengust of Albert City, Iowa, Dorothy Albert of Dunlap, Iowa, Ila Buffum of Logan, Iowa, Sally Ann Mitchell and husband Chuck of Dunlap, Iowa, brothers; Bill Davis of Indiana, Paul Davis and wife Bonnie of Missouri Valley, Iowa, with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at The United Methodist Church, following the committal service.
