August 26, 1936 – April 5, 2021

FUNERAL SERVICE observing CDC guidelines: Tuesday, April 13th at 10am at the West Center Chapel.  Interment: Omaha National Cemetery, Tuesday, April 13th at 1 pm with Military Honors by the U.S. Navy, Millard American Legion Post 374 and VFW Post 8334.  Memorials are suggested to Eastern Nebraska Veteran’s Home.

Age 84, Jerald was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Helen (McDonough) and Charles Baughman.  He had two brothers, Wilbur and Thomas Baughman.

He was a Veteran of the US Navy.  While serving in the Navy, he was in Communications and wrestled for the Navy.

Jerry had a successful career in the H.V.A.C. business for over 50 years.  He enjoyed many sports activities, but some of his favorites were playing softball with his buddies and sons, wrestling, coaching his children in various sports and activities, and cheering on the Huskers.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wilbur Charles Baughman.  Survived by children: Bret Baughman, James Baughman, Kelly Harris; grandchildren ; Rebecca, Jesse, Crystal, Ashley, Jimmy, Blake, Vince, Grace, Taylor; 22 great-grandchildren.

    I certainly miss your dad dropping in telling me how to do my job and how much better the Huskers were than the Hawkeyes. Jerry loved playing ball and giving my dog Charlie some love. Jerry made me laugh every day! Blessing sent to your family. Thanks for sharing Jerry with us!
