June 2, 1931 – October 9, 2018

Jerrie was born on June 2, 1931 in Freeport, Illinois to Alma and Roy Armitage. She grew up in Elizabeth, IL and Salt Lake City, UT.  She met and married the love of her life, Ed Mutch, at Castle Air Force Base, CA. Married for more than 61 years, they raised two daughters, Debbie Lowell and Susan Morrison (Greg).  Beautiful inside and out, she devoted her life to taking care of her family and being a gracious friend to those around her. She passed away peacefully on October 9, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.  Her suffering is over now, and she is at peace with the Lord.

I met Jerolyn when I took care of her mother Alma at Hallmark. She was an angel and never missed sending my children birthday cards. She will be forever in my heart. Prayers to all of you. I’m so sorry for your loss, she will be deeply missed.

Jerrie was the most loving caring person I have ever known, always going above and beyond to care for those she loved and she so loved her family. In her final months I was so blessed to have been able to spend very special time with Jerrie. Sometimes laughing, sometimes crying. With our visit a couple days before her stroke I will hold closest to my heart. Jerrie’s memory will be forever in my heart. With love and deepest sympathy to her beautiful loving family.
