Jerome Edward Otterson of Omaha, Nebraska, was born on June 11, 1950, and passed with his family by his side on the evening of September 1, 2021.

Jerry lived his life with optimism, fortitude, resilience, humility, and the quick-witted humor for which he was so loved. Boy Scout Master of two Eagle Scout sons, roadie for his son’s national bike racing competitions, “Guitaro” to his son’s rock band, dance dad to his daughters; his whistle rang proud at every ceremony honoring his children.

Loved his smile and his laugh. Will miss him, but he will live on in my memories and my heart. My heartfelt condolences to his wife Bev, His siblings Jack (George) and Mary, and to all his children and family.

My condolences to the OTTERSON family. Jerry was a great father and husband! I am fortunate enough to travel with him to a few of the BMX races with Shawn and Bev. We made some great memories that I’ll always remember.
