Jerry Eugene Weible was born to Eugene and Myrtle (Anderson) Weible on October 11, 1961 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was baptized at First Lutheran Church on November 12, 1961 and confirmed at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church on April 3, 1977. Jerry attended elementary school at Dundee and graduated from Technical High School in 1980.

At Technical High School he studied communications and interned at WOW TV (CBS affiliate) and KETV (ABC affiliate.) He started working part-time right out of high school at KETV and was soon hired full-time as a technician. He left after 35 years.

Jerry married Theresa Higgins on May 14, 1993. They had one daughter, Hannah Rae. They were together for 5 years.

Jerry passed away on December 1, 2022 after testing positive for the covid virus, pneumonia and other health complications.Preceded in death by father, Gene. Survived by daughter, Hannah (A.J.) Koch; mother, Myrtle Weible; brother, Curtis (Jennifer); nieces, Sydney and Jaime.

VISITATION: Monday, December 5th, 5-7pm, at West Center Chapel. FUNERAL: Tuesday, December 6th, 10:30am, at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church, 2650 Farnam St.

Memorials may be directed to Kountze Memorial Church Pantry.

    I am so sorry to hear Jerry passed away. We became good friends during the years I worked at Pauli’s. His humor and friendship will be missed by all who knew him.

    Myrt, my heart hurts for you! It’s been tough enough with Dales recent passing, can’t imagine dealing with it being a son. Prayers for you and the family!

    I’m so saddened to learn of this. I worked with Jerry for nearly 30 years at KETV, and was regularly lifted up by his humor, and his zest for life. I hadn’t seen or spoken to him for many years, but I know that, for all who knew and were close to him, Jerry will be deeply missed. My heartfelt condolences to all who knew and loved him.

    I was saddened to learn of Jerry’s passing. My prayers to Hannah & all of his family. Enjoyed working with him for my 10 years @ KETV, he made working FUN!! So glad we were also friends that kept in touch regularly by phone but I also visited him a few time when back in Omaha. May he rest in peace. Miss you buddy!! xoxo
