Jerry Keith “Sam” Lueders

Age 79, of Omaha.

Jerry Keith Lueders (aka “Sam”), 79, died peacefully at Brookestone Meadows in Omaha, NE, on Friday, February 17, 2017. He deeply loved his wife, Mary Lou, whom he married on December 27, 1961 in Fremont, NE. He is survived by Mary Lou; his daughter Amy West and son-in-law Todd; his son Eric and daughter-in-law Kim; daughter Jessica Emerson and son-in-law Jim; and his beloved grandchildren: Abbi, Jordan, Nate, Ryley, Landen, and Caroline, as well as his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jane and Norman Zuhlke, nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

Sam was the president of Brunswick State Bank in Brunswick, NE, and Winnetoon, NE, for nearly 30 years. He instilled his strong work ethic in his children and taught them to be fair, honest, and kind. A lifelong Christian, Sam loved books and travel, especially time in Cancun, Mexico and Clearwater Beach, FL. Born to Fred and Kathryn Lueders on February 9, 1938 in Wayne, NE, Sam was an only child. He served in the U.S. Army, graduated from Midland University, and was a Certified Public Accountant.

Funeral services will be held at the Bel Air Chapel on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at 10:30am.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017 at the Bel Are Chapel from 3:00 – 5:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given to an individual’s choice of charities.
