Jesse J. Alba, Sr.
June 16, 1944 – September 7, 2024
Jesse James Alba was born June 16,1944 in Omaha, Ne. to Pedro and Gertrude Alba. He was the youngest of nine children. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings (Connie, Mary, Patty, Joe, Frank, Teresa and Manual).
Jesse was a man of many interests and talents. He loved bowling, photography, carpentry, restoring classic cars, art, playing cards, pool, casinos and cooking his own creations.
Jesse went to the School of Commercial Art and was a talented artist. He worked many jobs over the years but retired from M.U.D. After his retirement, he had a shop in his garage restoring old cars.
Jesse celebrated his 80th birthday in June and proudly bragged that he had 46 years of sobriety. Jesse met Joanne Abel in 1982, and they were married in May of 1984. At that time Jesse had two children (Grace Lynn Tula and Jesse Jr) and Joanne had two children (Bill and Christy). The two families blended, and Jesse loved all of his children. His true love was his family. He had 6 wonderful grandchildren that he so enjoyed spoiling. He was definitely a fun grandpa.
Jesse is survived by wife Joanne; children: Tula Prowse (Kenny), Jesse Alba Jr, Bill Abel (Carroll) and Christy Hinman (Terry); grandchildren: Taylor Hinman, Zach Hinman, Skylur Alba, Grace Alba, Julian Alba, Seamus Haldeman; brother, Pete Alba; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
