Jessica Lynn Koehn-Wolfe

In Loving Memory of Jessica L. Koehn-Wolfe

September 13, 1980 – April 17, 2025

“I am the sky, not the weather.” – Pema Chödrön

On April 17, 2025, Jessie’s beautiful soul found rest in Omaha, Nebraska. She was born on September 13, 1980, to Angie Huebner and Tim Koehn. Jessie lived a life full of passion, creativity, and deep love for those around her.

She graduated from Millard West High School in 1998, where she was an active student-athlete, participating in basketball and track and field. She began her college journey at Northwest Missouri State, where she joined the Phi Mu Sorority, and later earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Bellevue University.

From a young age, Jessie’s work ethic and love of service were evident. At just 13, she began working in her family’s pizza restaurant, Angelo’s, alongside her dad, stepmom, and sisters. There, she developed a deep appreciation for food and cooking and embraced the guiding principles of the 3P’s – Plan, Prepare, and Perform.

Jessie later pursued a career in healthcare, where she thrived for over 17 years. She worked as an EMT in the Emergency Department at Methodist Hospital for four years and spent six years as a Travel Nurse Recruiter for Medical Solutions. Over three years ago, she found her calling at NRC Health, where she served as a Customer Strategist and was recently promoted to Experience Regional Director. She had a passion for making a difference in healthcare and worked with several hospitals and hospital systems across the country to improve patient care. Travel was a key component of her work, allowing her to build strong, lasting relationships with clients, prospects, and colleagues alike. Her ability to connect with people, no matter where she went, was a true gift. Her energy and intelligence left a lasting impact on so many people.

Jessie was a daughter, sister, aunt, wife, dear friend, animal lover, and leader. She enjoyed public speaking and was the world’s best wedding officiant. She had a deep love for love itself, thoughtfully crafting each ceremony script to reflect the unique bond of every couple she celebrated. She married eight couples and had many more on the horizon.

She was a lover of music—deeply influenced by her musically gifted family, including her band-playing father and music-teacher grandparents. Jessie played the piano and some guitar, loved records, and going to concerts. She had an artistic soul, also expressing herself through drawing and cooking. She was an amazing cook; a grill master and loved making home cooked meals. Hosting the holidays was important to her and she always had a warm, welcoming spirit. Jessie loved to read and unwind with a good Netflix binge (especially medical dramas, rom-coms, and comedies). She had a magnetic personality—cool, kind, effortlessly down-to-earth, and always able to spark laughter in every interaction.

Jessie cherished the outdoors, especially warm weather, beaches, and mountain escapes. A Jeep enthusiast, she delighted in the tradition of “ducking” and wore her unique style with pride: tattoos, snapbacks, Nike Dunks, comfy soft hoodies, stylish suits, and a good belt. She loved all things soft.

She was a devoted sports fan through and through, cheering wholeheartedly for the Green Bay Packers and the LA Dodgers.

Golf was one of her greatest passions, and The Players Club golf community held a special place in her heart. Just last summer, Jessie joined the hole-in-one club and, with Erin by her side, proudly took home the Ladies Member-Member trophy.

Above all, Jessie gave the gift of time. One of her love languages was quality time, and she made everyone feel seen, heard, and valued. Her friendships were deep and lasting—she was a light in dark times and a source of joy and laughter always.

Jessie was strong yet gentle, brilliant yet humble, and beautiful inside and out. Her spirit was bigger than life, and her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched.

“Those who touch our hearts stay in our lives forever.”

Jessie is survived by her loving spouse of nearly nine years, Erin Wolfe; her parents, Tim Koehn and Angie Huebner; and stepfather, Jim Huebner. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Heather Ober (Makenzie, Jaxson); step-siblings: James Haerle, Satcha Gaskin (Mateo, Amaya), and Lauren Reed (Xavier, Christina). Jessie’s cherished fur babies, Zita (dog) and Toast (cat), also held a special place in her heart.

The family is working to find a cause that’s near and dear to their hearts that supports mental health and suicide awareness. More information will be shared in the coming weeks on the website, https://everloved.com/life-of/jessica-koehn-wolfe/.

In times of heartbreak I seek the Lord. In respect for His divine plan I try not to ask but I’m weak, “Why?” Why did you take her from us? Why didn’t I say I love you one more time? Why is hard for me to see your way?
I’m praying for your family, Jessica; be at peace.

I had the privilege of knowing Jessie through our work together at NRC Health. Everyone genuinely enjoyed and admired her for her passion, knowledge, drive to succeed, sense of humor, infectious smile, and perennially positive spirit. I feel so lucky to have recently worked with her at an industry conference in Las Vegas. She was always so kind, funny, and generously shared her advice and experiences with me and others. She was a top performer who believed first in uplifting those around her. Jessie was that unique type of person—the kind you meet once and feel like an instant friend. I feel very honored to have known her in this life and will miss her. My deepest sympathy and condolences to her family, friends, and all who appreciated her many gifts.

  • Susan Armbruster Posted April 25, 2025 10:18 am

What a wonderful, beautifully written tribute to Jessie. I had the opportunity to work with Jessie at NRC, and was immediately drawn to her innate cool factor, sense of humor and always impressed with her ability to warm to her clients and colleagues alike. We all knew she was going to clean up at the annual work golf tournament, but of course she did it quietly and with all the laughs along the way. I’m honored to have known her and send my warmest hugs, high regards and love to all missing her in this incredibly hard time, myself included.
