Omaha, NE- Jessie Louise Gross was born December 17, 1941 in Ft. Worth Texas. She passed away April 10, 2022 with her family surrounding her. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Robert “Bob” Gross. She has two daughters from her previous marriage to Aubrey Tucker. They are Shari (Mark) Williams and Marjie/Libby (Stacey) Long. She has two grandsons Travis and Tyler Williams.

Jessie lived most of her life in El Paso, Texas where she was an elementary school teacher for the Ysleta and Socorro School Districts. She was an active alumnus of the Chi Omega Sorority at the University of Texas at El Paso and held many leadership positions in the chapter. She was a member of Daughters of the King in the Episcopal church, and a minister’s wife supporting Bob in his ministries. She moved to Omaha to be closer to her grandsons and daughter. In her younger years, she square danced and was a lifelong bridge player. She loved decorating for every holiday especially Christmas. Her most favorite past time was cheering on her beloved Dallas Cowboys. She is greatly missed.

VISITATION is Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 9:30am-10:30am at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church located at 84th and Pacific St. in Omaha Nebraska, followed by Interment at 10:30am with full CHRISTIAN BURIAL SERVICE at 11:00am. Service will be streamed live via St. Andrew’s Facebook page for those in Texas unable to attend. https://www.facebook.com/StAndrewsOMA. Memorials in lieu of flowers should be given to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.

    Sorry for your lose Bob, may God grant you comfort in your grief. I remember many a happy times in El Paso.

    Jessie was such a wonderful friend and neighbor. I have many great memories of times spent with Bob and Jessie when we all lived in Park East in El Paso and attended All Saints Episcopal Church. I miss you, Jessie. Bob may time and God’s love bring you peace.
