Jimmy J. Ivey, 66, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly on April 14, 2025. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, on September 18 1958, Jimmy was a cherished father, brother, grandpa, son and uncle. Jimmy’s sudden passing comes as a shock to all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Keith Ivey; mother, Betty House; brothers, Bob Ivey and Danny Ivey; and sister, Peggy Woodruff.

Jimmy is survived by his children, James (Cori) Ivey; Jennifer (Denver) Plumb; Kimberly (Richard) Hanks; brother, Jeff Ivey; grandchildren, Noah, Kailey, Adison, Cohen, Rj, Briley, Raven and Justus.

A Memorial for Jimmy will be held at a later date.

    Jimmy was one of a kind and his smile and kindness will be greatly missed from this world. He was easy to talk to and joke around with when seeing him at FNC. I once saw him at the grocery store, and we stood there and talked like we were at work but had known each other for years.
    Your smile, your kindness and your presence will be missed and there are just not enough people like Jimmy left in this world. The heavens needed him more, but we still need him here.
