Jo Ann Robb
July 20, 1936-May 19, 2025
Jo Ann Robb (Fath), a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, passed away on May 19th, 2025 at the age of 88. Jo Ann was born in Kansas City, Missouri where she met her loving husband Frank (Robbie) of 57 years and raised their young family until their move to Omaha in 1977 where she continued to live the rest of her life.
Jo Ann was a private and quiet person with boundless energy and a smile that could light up a room. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family where she always put their needs before her own. She was extremely creative and there wasn’t anything she couldn’t do whether it was inside where she built a warm and nurturing home or outside gardening. Her yard was her sanctuary where she would spend countless hours designing, building, planting and pruning for nearly five decades.
Her quiet strength, integrity and creativity have left a lasting mark with her family, and she will be deeply missed and forever cherished. We take great comfort in knowing that her spirit will remain with us always through the traditions she taught us, the love she gave us, and the home she built that will forever be our foundation.
Jo Ann is survived by her children: Robert (Christina), Michael (Hana), David, Joan Ellingson (Eric), and Steve (Cass); grandchildren: Katja, Lauren, Tommy (Jeanine), Samantha, and Danielle; great-grandchildren: David, Nina, Jacksen, Juliana and Olivia. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents, Harry and Lela Fath and siblings Dorothy, Hazel and Paul.
The family of Jo Ann Robb wish to extend our sincere thank you to Tina and Carvella, loving caretakers of mom at Hillcrest Cottages over the last 7 months and Jessica, Jewel and Maureen along with countless staff at Hillcrest who took great care of her during her final days.
A private service will be held for family at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.
