July 23, 1931 – December 13, 2019
She is survived by her husband, Thomas P. Heafey; children, Kathleen Boyle (Charlie), Colleen Langenfeld (Michael Langenfeld M.D.), Margaret M. Heafey, and Morgan J. Heafey (companion, Claire Thiel); grandchildren, Mairin and Shane Boyle, Kathleen and Bridget Langenfeld; sister, Maureen Caniglia; brothers, William Reefe M.D., and John J. Reefe (Sharon); many nieces; nephews; cousins.
Family will receive friends Monday, December 16, 2019, 5-7pm West Center Chapel followed by 7pm Vigil Service. MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL Tuesday 10:30am St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 11802 Pacific St. Burial family estate Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials to Poor Clare Sisters, Columban Fathers or Servants of Mary.

Will be thinking of all in your family in the days ahead. She obviously is the strong and gracious resilient strength that everyone has been thankful to have in your lives for so many years. What a blessing to our community – never to be forgotten.
Dear Tom and your extended family: I am sorry to learn of Joan’s death. I will remember her at Mass, asking God to hold her close and to comfort you and all who will miss her. Mr. Heafy and family. What a wonderful woman! I know Mrs. Heafy was one of my mom’s favorite friends. And she was always so friendly to us kids! I will have many fond memories of her and will keep her in my prayers, but more importantly I will ask her to pray for me and my family! God bless you in your time of grief. John Parr

Thanks so much to the Bertagni family. I remember your wonderful father. He let me sit on his lap while he drove to bus to school because I cried every morning. I appreciate your words and I’m sure mom is having a laugh about the days of riding the bus to Holy Cross
This beautiful soul is among the blessed. In heaven. When you hear the bells ring, another angel received her wings. She shines bright as the sun and will warm the hearts of many more. Praise Jesus.
